The book “Tests in English: Word-Formation” consists of several parts in which prefi xal and suffi xal word-formation, compounding and abbreviation are being considered. Each part contains short theoretical explanations and exercises for mastering the ways of word-formation and consolidating acquired skills at applying them. The keys to all the exercises are given at the end of the book.

The manual is intended for intermediate and advanced students and, as it is hoped, it can also be useful to teachers of English.
