It's super-suit time!
When ordinary boy Marvin wears his super-suit, he becomes MARV. A superhero with infinite powers . . . In this story, Marvin and his school friends are tending to the school garden when supervillain Violet Vine appears and uses her powers to make the plants grow out of control. Before long, the garden and school are covered in snaking vines, and kid-eating Venus flytraps! It's time for Marvin to swap his gardening gloves for his superhero suit and become MARV-unstoppable, invincible, and totally MARVellous! Only then can Marv get the garden, and Violet Vine, under control.
"The story content is one that will easily connect with this age group of 6 years and above, as most children will have taken part in some type of school competition before. Marvin, the main character, exudes passion, drive, determination, commitment and dedication; wonderful characteristics for children to observe and all values that we wish them to grow up with." - Just Imagine
"The Marv series is perfect for little ones at that stage between picture books and wordy chapter books... Easy, fun and engaging." - Lucy Bannerman, The Times
"Fast paced, fun and with a lesson about jealousy, this fifth of Marv's challenging adventures shows him at his invincible marvellous best (almost all of the time)." - Jill Bennett, Red Reading Hub
"A fast-paced plant-based adventure story with important central messages about accepting defeat with grace and being a good friend." - Children's Books Ireland
"Packed full of illustrations that accompany the action and the story contains themes of friendship, forgiveness as well as endless determination." - Books for Topics
"Once again this super-hero story is super-fun and super-readable. Illustrator Paula Bowles has particular fun drawing enormous Venus Flytraps!" - Andrea Reece, LoveReading4Kids
