This publication was produced by the United Nations Evaluation Group (UNEG) to serve as an in-depth handbook to guide and promote the implementation of human rights and gender responsive evaluation practices in all UN evaluations. It complements the UNEG's Handbook ’Integrating Human Rights and Gender Equality in Evaluation: Towards UNEG Guidance' (https://unp.un.org/Details.aspx?pid=22543) that outlines practical steps on how to prepare, conduct and use HR & GE responsive evaluations. The present document deepens each of these aspects, and provides additional theoretical and applied information, tools and suggestions. The primary audience is evaluators and programme managers within and outside of the UN.
