Tender yet curious observations – is one way to describe Smoliansky's photography. This 1200-page book in 2 volumes republishes the nine book collaboration between late Swedish photographer Gunnar Smoliansky and art director Henrik Nygren.

This book brings together and republishes nine previous works with photographs by Gunnar Smoliansky. “Work” may be a bit of an exaggeration in some cases, if one insists on focusing on the number of pages in each of the nine: they include both slim volumes and an imposing monograph. The intention throughout has been the same, however: to try to shine a light on an admirable man whose life work is as unique as it is consistent.
