When agents of luck are targeted by an unknown force, the newly formed Medusa Division are sent to investigate in this brand-new delightful urban fantasy mystery. Perfect for fans of Terry Pratchett, Jodi Taylor and Garth Nix's 'Booksellers' series.

For agents of the Fortuna Division, being lucky isn't just their blessing, it's their business. Responsible for gifting doses of good fortune to oblivious mortals, they are known for being invincible to disaster. However, when agents of luck start turning up dead, it is clear their own fortunes have taken a bad turn.

Agents Erron Grover and Nikita Wolf are recruited to a new team solely tasked with unravelling this mystery, but they face an almost insurmountable challenge. Since the almost-apocalypse, several mortals have developed an uncanny ability to see the auras of agency staff and piece together their role in controlling destiny - and will do anything to reclaim their fate.

This is one problem croissants and ice cream cannot solve. Has the Afterlife Agency's luck finally run out?
