National publicity firms are being interviewed, to determine the best course of action for marketing her book during November. She will be sending out the book for trade and consumer reviews.

In addition, there is an interview scheduled with journalist, Lynn Henderson Oldshue. She will be soliciting more interviews through her contacts with AL.com as well as other popular local publications. Furthermore, she will be soliciting major newspapers, magazines, radio and television programs which appeal to the target audience for her book, book authors.

A website devoted to providing additional information on the book was launched in September, 2019. The author will be mentioning the book frequently in her blog and social media posts. In addition, the author has launched a major social network marketing blitz utilizing Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

A current e-mail list has been created and a monthly newsletter will go out and will be utilizing techniques to continue to grow this list for direct marketing purposes.

Paid advertising will be used to promote the website and pre-orders. Beginning after the release of the book on April 7, 2020, more comprehensive campaigns of paid advertisements in publications that reach the target audience for the book of aspiring and published authors will be scheduled. Tentative plans include ads in Publisher’s Weekly, Booklist, The New York Times Book Review, Bookpage, and others.

A book launch party has been tentatively planned in partnership with Eastern Shore Art Center, in Fairhope, AL the week prior to release during the community ArtWalk that draws thousands to the area. Eastern Shore Art Center is nationally known where the author was a former arts instructor.

A book signing at the Haunted Book Shop in Mobile, AL is scheduled on April 10, 2020 during the city of Mobile’s Lower Dauphin ArtWalk event. Other book signings will be scheduled with Books a Million, Mobile, AL and Barnes and Noble, Spanish Fort, AL among others in the Greater Gulf Coast area.

The author is an active member of several writers guilds and social gathering groups where she has been a frequent guest speaker in past years. She will be adding extensive public speaking engagements and conferences to her itinerary.
