Belen Grand has marketing plans to promote his book, Family Matters. Grand has started his marketing efforts by posting Facebook Live videos weekly for visibility and awareness. She has been asked to nursing organizations, such as the Philippine Nurses Association. This association has regional and local meetings and the focus is nursing alumni, medical alumni, and others. She hopes to target the different nursing alumni associations from different universities in the Philippines who have a strong presence in the U.S. especially the universities from Manila and Cebu. Grand would like to leverage some of her personal contacts in these associations. For example, her college alumni association has 2000+ members and this would be a great marketing platform. Grand is not a public speaker; however, she is willing to host speaking engagements for the promotion of Family Matters.

Providing financial assistance to family members in the Philippines can be stressful and take a toll on health and family life. For Filipino emigrants, the pressure to send more money can bring up anger and resentment, along with the fear of being ostracized by their community if they stop.
