The purpose of the book is to engage children in not only learning to read, but to love the sound of the written word. Hidden in the illustrations on the left side of the page, is the capital letter and the corresponding lower case letter is hidden in the illustrations on the right side of the page. The pages on the left are written for the young at heart and narrated by bossy Big Sis Isa. The pages on the right are designed for the younger reader and narrated by the mischievous Little Brother Paul.
