A media outreach PR campaign consisting of:
o A press release with a newsy headline and a call to action distributed directly into the inboxes of hundreds of relevant media contacts at print, online and broadcast (podcasts, radio, TV) outlets at the national (US, plus Canada if appropriate), regional and local levels.
o A series of 4 or 5 thematic pitches distributed to all relevant media contacts, each focusing on a specific angle or message from the book. Pitches might also offer author Q&As or profile stories.
o Approximately 18 to 25 media placements resulting from these initiatives, including reviews, feature articles, guest articles and interviews.
• Author-led outreach to dozens of podcasts where she has already appeared for follow-up interviews about the new book.
• Author-led outreach to travel journals where she has had articles published.
• Active posting (3+ times / week) and engagement on LinkedIn (1,100+ connections) and Facebook (2.4K followers on her personal page and 600+ on her author page); regular posting and engagement on Instagram and Twitter.
• Launch event, both in-person and virtual (to reach individuals outside of the NYC market)
