A.B. Yehoshua was the recipient of the 1993 Jewish Quarterly prize for fiction and the American National Jewish Book Award for his novel "Mr. Mani", and 1999 TLS Hebrew Translation Prize for the book "Open Heart", as well as the Israel Prize for his entire oeuvre.
