New developments in adult learning are examined, and the concept of the learning experience is discussed, with particular emphasis on reflective practice and the quality of learning experience. Full consideration is given to assessment of knowledge and skills, covering topics such as, profiling and portfolios, credit transfer, and assessment of prior learning.
