This new literary anthology—suitable for third-year Spanish students—includes poetry, narratives, dramas and essays from Spanish, Latin American and U.S authors. Grouped chronologically, each work is accompanied by an introduction to its historical context and its connections to other works within a transatlantic context. This contextual approach provides an overview of the literary history of the pre–Hispanic and Hispanic world and a basic understanding of the formal aspects of literary analysis.
