Der Autor vermittelt notwendiges Grundwissen über die Dynamik des elektromagnetischen Feldes und liefert verschiedene theoretische Ansätze. Damit schließt dieses Buch nun eine Lücke, denn die Literatur für Laseroptik und Feldtheorie hatte das Thema bisher nur gestreift. (10/97)
