Join Jacominus Gainsborough as he waits at the docks, heart racing, for his dearest friend, Sweetie, to arrive. He has an important question to ask her, but only if she arrives by noon! If she doesn’t make it, he will never get to ask his question or hear her reply.

Follow Sweetie on her journey to the docks as she encounters school children, a fortune teller and a kite master who gives her a magical gift. But each encounter delays her a little more… and the clock keeps ticking. Will she meet Jacominus in time?

With stunning artwork and incredible laser cuts, this book is a work of art that draws you in from the very first page. Walk alongside Sweetie and experience every moment of her journey as love hangs in the balance. A tender story that reminds us that the best things in life are worth waiting for.
