J.K. Rowling is the author of the record-breaking, multi-award-winning Harry Potter novels. She has received many awards and honours, including an OBE and Companion of Honour, France's Légion d'honneur, and the Hans Christian Andersen Award.

Серія книг про Гаррі Поттера.
Книги - особливо казки і фентезі готують нас до складного і часом жорстокого життя. Даний збірник книг про всесвіт Гаррі Поттера належати до таких книг, до речі, завдяки Джоан Роулінг підлітки полюбили читати! Всесвіт Гаррі Поттера паралельний від нашого, тільки в ньому живуть багато магів - цілий світ магів, які виготовляють різні магічні винаходи і навчають магічним мистецтвам. У першій книзі поступає вчитися в хогвардскую школу і допомагає чарівникам знайти філософський камінь, який безслідно зник. У наступних книжках Гаррі разом з друзями відкриває таємні кімнати, рятує бранців і бере участь в турнірах, а ще протистоїть силі злого чарівника... Взагалі-то кожен фантастичний світ формується за моделлю нашого рідного всесвіта, а відрізняється він лише тим що в кожному відбувається щось таке чудернацьке та незбагнене, чого на справді бути не може - все завдяки вигадливій фантазії. За допомогою фантазії вигадуються різні приголомшливі пригоди, яких вистачає і у нашому вимірі тільки вони більш приземлені, так би мовити. Щодо інших форм життя, то наука вже повідкривала такі форми, що фантастам і не снилось. Але й справді фантазія дає можливість навигадувати безліч всілякого, що знаходиться поза межами досягаємого - ось тут починається справжня фантастика!

В этой коробочке представлена вся серия книг о Гарри Поттере на языке оригинала.
Я выбрал именно это издание во-первых, из-за оформления, а, во-вторых, потому что современные переводы мне не нравятся, и конечно же, оригинал всегда лучше любого, даже самого качественного перевода. Пускай и некоторые главы мне пришлось читать со словарем, но я в восторге от приобретения.
История о мальчике-волшебнике знакома многим. В свои одиннадцать лет Гарри Поттер узнает, что он волшебник, и учиться ему предстоит в школе чародейства и волшебства Хогвардц. Но уже с первых учебных дней он узнает, что в своем новом мире он знаменитость, а виной тому трагедия, которая забрала жизнь его родителей.
Первые две части более детские, зато уже с третьей, история значительно меняется - окрашивается в мрачные тона, Гарри взрослеет, а с ним и мир волшебников открывает перед читателями свои двери. Писательнице удалось создать удивительный, интересный мир со своими собственными законами и порядками.
Советую эти интересные и захватывающие книги всем любителям фэнтези.
