About book

This is an automatically translated description

The publication includes the most famous novels by Ukrainian writer, journalist, and publisher of The Village Ukraine Mark Livin - Indian Summer and Ricky and the Roads, as well as the stories Imagine Lilacs Here and Black Swift.

The author's works have become bestsellers and have been repeatedly shortlisted for literary awards. The story "Indian Summer" was also used as the basis for a screenplay that became one of the winners of the "Coronation of the Word" competition, and "Ricky and the Roads" is represented in the prestigious international catalogue IBBY.

«All four texts of this collection are united by the same sadness - the return of an adult to the house in which he grew up. Now, it seems, everything there is not the same as before, and almost the only thing that remains is to reassemble oneself in retrospect. To recall some events, to look at and touch old things, to recreate the stories of childhood with the help of smells and tastes. And, it turns out, this process becomes healing for the soul, you realise that love - for yourself and your history - can easily become a pain. All the events of this collection, whether the beds from "Indian Summer" or the porch from "The Black Swan", in different ways and at different times took place at the same address - 19 Zelena Street. This is the place where I was born as an author. And I would like to record it in my own history," says Mark Livin about the appearance of the new edition.

Readers will be able to enjoy not only the author's works collected under one binding, but also the exclusive artistic design by the illustrator, winner of international competitions Yevheniia Haidamaka.
