This book continues the Written Standard Chinese series. It resumes from the end of Book Two and is designed to build vocabulary and bring the student past the 1000 character recognition level. Its content focuses on Chinese history and culture, as well as certain aspects of Sino-Western cultural interaction. It uses both traditional and simplified forms, and pinyin romanization.
