The textbook consists of 12 chapters. Each chapter begins with a video interview with National Geographic explorers who answer questions about the topic of the chapter. The 5 combined lessons teach basic language skills and present new words and grammar exclusively in context. They end with a task for practical application of the material learned.

Every fourth lesson is aimed at developing speaking, listening and soft skills. Students will watch a high-quality animated video on developing such important skills as active listening, understanding accents, group communication, polite refusal, and more. At the end of the book, you will find Reflect and Review sections and reference materials: Grammar Reference, Vocabulary Reference, and Audioscripts.
