The Ukrainian people have many saints and blessed martyrs. Yet many Christians remain unknown, who also testified to their faithfulness to the Church and God at the cost of their own lives. This book describes the fates of priests, their wives, monks and nuns, as well as lay people who, caught in the millstones of the totalitarian system, did not break and remained faithful to Christ, even to the point of death. These are the stories of 40 Servants of God who were martyred in prisons, exile, in their hometowns and in their own homes. By their sacrifice, they once again affirmed the invincibility of the Ukrainian Church, and it is our duty to cherish the memory of their feat and imitate them in our lives.
