Dae Hyo is no longer a mage. Krish is no longer a god. Magic has disappeared.

But when Krish gave up his divinity, others took it - three new gods with strange and terrifying new powers. The disappearance of the old magic has changed more than just Krish. The carrion mounts that defended the Ashane kingdom have fallen from the sky, the waterways that brought life to Ofiklanod are stilled and the runes that once bound Krish's army to him have been erased.

No one remains to stand against the Three. Weakened and scattered to distant corners of the land, Krish and his allies - and former enemies - need to find a new way to fight. But Dae Hyo is magicless, Sang Ki is enslaved and Eric has lost far more than either of them.
