The purpose of this publication is to summarise the facts already known, to make available to a wide range of readers the half-forgotten or completely forgotten pages of the achievements of the best Ukrainian teams in the fight against foreign star sports teams for European football cups.

Today, long-time fans are increasingly recreating in their memory the forgotten realities of those years when their favourite teams played for European Cups against the best teams in Europe.

The author of this book tried to recreate the forgotten battles on the football fields of Ukraine and Europe during the Soviet period and during the years of Ukraine's independence. And at the same time recall their mentors who have made a significant contribution to the achievements of their teams over the years. And this will be helped by information presented in an interesting and accessible form.

This work does not claim to be one hundred percent accurate and exhaustive in the presence of so many differences in different sources of information.

So, from the pen of Levko Legky, author of the books Kopanyi Ball, Football of Ternopil, History of World Football, Football. History and Statistics", another book about football has been published... I want to believe that it will find its grateful reader.
