The short story anthology «At the Czechs» offers Ukrainian readers a whole palette of authors writing in Czech. This is a kind of a unique cross-section of what happened in this genre in the Czech Republic after 1989, so you will find in the book both stories from the 1990s and texts written six months ago. The themes, style and authorial style of these stories are very diverse - every discerning literary lover will find something to their liking. The translation strategies presented in the anthology will give an additional reason to think about the rich potential hidden in the word "short story".
