Unfortunately for Lucinda McCrae, kings can be careless with their jewels. When a drunk King James I swaps hats during a drinking contest with King Christian of Denmark, his priceless diamond hat brooch goes missing. Lucinda may have been the last one to see it. She may even have been sent to retrieve the precious brooch from the snoring, claret-filled Danish King…who thinks she stole it.

But she will not roll over and be branded a liar, harlot, and a thief.

With the help of the Sisters of the Sword, her clandestine band of female fencers, Lucinda must find the missing jewels in order to save her skin and her shaky reputation. If she fails she will face the fate of a thief or be forced to accept King Christian’s dubious “Viking solution” — which would destroy her darling Robbie and spell the end for the Sisters of the Sword.
