About book

This is an automatically translated description

Book 1: Quantum Spy

This highly topical and incredibly exciting spy thriller by the famous American novelist and journalist describes the hunt of CIA officer Harris Chang for a Chinese mole trying to get hold of the secrets of the development of a top-secret quantum computer. The book resonates with reality to such an extent that the author had to warn readers that his work is still fiction.

A dynamic plot that just asks to be shown on the screen, convincing images, a solid scientific and technological background, and a talented storyteller - these are the secrets of David Ignatius' skill. Perhaps, a little later, the writer will be recognised as a visionary, because everyone who dreams of mastering the digital world is waiting for the invention of a quantum computer.

Book 2. The Reality Dealer

What if you are offered the perfect digital drug? In the near future, there are no prohibitions left. Consumption has reached its limits, morality has gone out of fashion, and religions have turned into fast food. Humanity is mired in entertainment, debauchery, and drugs. And the elite have a new kind of entertainment - Personal Realities, in which they can fulfil any of their most shameful and criminal fantasies. A new techno-cult, the creation of a mysterious media corporation, promises endless pleasures and eternal life to everyone.

Iryna Bilyk, Dasha Astafyeva, Fagot, Mannequin, Yuri Gorbunov and Dar'ya Tregubova tried on the images of the characters of the world bestseller

Recently, mysterious photos of famous personalities posing in unusual looks have started to appear on Ukrainian celebrities' social media. Posts with the hashtag #dealerofrealities have recently been made by Iryna Bilyk, Dasha Astafyeva, Oleg Mykhailyuta (Fagot), Yevhen Filatov (The Maneken), Yuriy Gorbunov and Daria Tregubova. The stars leave a comment under the photo, explaining that they were so impressed by the futuristic novel The Reality Dealer that they decided to turn into one of the characters in the fascinating story.

“I was so fascinated by the Ukrainian-language edition of my favourite novel Dealer of Reality that I could not resist trying on the image from the book of my friend Nikolai Dimitrov. I have always been principled in the field of protecting rights and freedoms, so maybe that's why the sexy and dangerous Augusta, the head of a secret media corporation, seemed to me almost like a goddess of justice who creates laws for a new race of super people in the novel. Gods don't ask questions and don't answer them; they just take over and demand that their will be done. What will be yours?" singer Iryna Bilyk comments on the photo.

The spy thriller, which was recently released in Ukrainian, has already broken sales records in neighbouring countries. The first edition gained an audience of more than 150 thousand Ukrainian readers in just one year, becoming the pre-sales leader at Fabula Publishing House.

The main character of the futuristic novel is a gifted corporate spy who becomes the messiah of the world's first digital religion. On his way to world domination, he distributes digital drugs and conducts a desperate experiment on millions of people.

The photos of the stars in the image of the novel's characters turned out to be no less shocking and vivid than the plot.

The Maneken, as on the cover of the first edition of the novel, again recreated the main character - corporate spy Zoltan.Unexpectedly for the fans, Yuri Gorbunov appeared in the image of the ruthless media mogul Saul Haadi, who seeks world domination at any cost. Fagot transformed into the criminal boss Charon, and Dar Tregubov into the courtesan and hired killer Lin. The main female role went to Dasha Astafeva, no less temperamental than her book character.

There were also images for little artists - 4-year-old Tabriz, son of Irina Bilyk, and 8-year-old daughter of Daria Tregubova Polina took part in the photo shoot.

The author himself, Nikolas Dimitrov, also appeared in the photo shoot as an ambitious creative Paolo Ramban, a designer of virtual realities.

Next year, an English-language version of the novel will be published by one of the world's largest publishing houses. Also, the producers of Mortal Kombat and the film giants Paramount Pictures are currently negotiating the film adaptation of the novel.

Book 3. Berta Isla

Javier Marías is an outstanding Spanish writer whose novels have been translated into forty-four languages and published in fifty-seven countries. His new book, Berta Isla, is, in the author's own words, a conventional spy novel, a novel about waiting. The writer was inspired by the fate of secret agents who ceased their activities, a kind of modern Odyssey in the interpretation of Penelope from Madrid, a woman named Berta Isla.

In the novel by Javier Marias, elements of melodrama, irony and philosophical seriousness, historical excursions, poetry and a sharp critical look at our times coexist.

Book 4. Classified Information

The heroine of the novel Karen Cleveland is a young woman, a CIA counterintelligence analyst. She has an urgent task - to uncover the leaders of a network of Russian sleeper agents in the United States. Having gained access to the computer of a person who is most likely a resident, Vivian discovers secret dossiers of Russian agents who are deeply undercover in the US, waiting for a signal to act. A few clicks of the mouse and her world changes beyond recognition. From now on, her job, her husband, even her four children are under threat. The heroine is faced with a painful choice between loyalty and betrayal, loyalty to the oath and treachery, love and suspicion. She realises that she cannot trust almost anyone, and she has yet to cope with this shock.

Book 5. Nobody

The spy novel by Turkish writer Mine G. Kirikkanat is full of facts, and the chronology corresponds to the materials of the investigation conducted by the French police in connection with the murder of three Kurdish militants in Paris in 2013. The author has managed to describe the characters, their internal conflicts, and why and whom they serve as objectively as possible, without taking sides.

«Nobody», published in Turkey in 2016, is slowly coming true: the only murder suspect who was kept under arrest dies in a French prison the day before the trial. However, the court case, which was closed due to the death of the suspect, resurfaces in early 2019. A new investigation is launched as suspicions are raised that MİT, the Turkish intelligence service, was involved in the organisation of the triple murder.
