Starting from three strategies, the book presents the works of line+ studio and discusses how architecture could be a social force in shaping changes. The first part, Re-assembling, focuses on how architecture can act as a mediator to reintegrate and activate its network of resources in the countryside, and to give new cultural, economic and social values to the countryside. The second part, Re-calling, focuses on how architecture, as a spiritual space, can help people reclaim the source of memory and spirit in an era of rapid consumption. The third part, Re-connecting, focuses on the openness and public nature of architecture as a spatial container, and how architecture connects contemporary atomized individuals through a space dedicated to sharing.
