The poems by Taras Shevchenko "A cloud floats behind the sun" and "A cherry orchard near the house" are vivid examples of landscape poetry by the great Ukrainian poet. They picturesquely depict the quiet beauty of Ukrainian villages, harmonious contemplation, which, however, is sometimes disturbed by the fog that, like an enemy, covers the pink cloud.
