Rob Roy Sir is a historical novel about the hero of Scotland written by Walter Scott in 1817.

The main character of the novel Francis Osbaldistone falls out with his father, the owner of the merchant house, Osbaldistone and Tresham. That’s why he has to depart to a “voluntary exile” to his uncle in Scotland. Once his uncle sympathized with political enemies of a current royal house, so now he hides from authorities himself. Meanwhile, the cousin of Francis steals papers for a great sum of money from their merchant house.
