The symbol of Ukrainian military victory is a Cossack holding a rifle. A sniper is a professional marksman who is proficient in the military art of sniping, which includes not only skilful use of weapons but also the ability to use special knowledge of technology, mathematics, and metrology in practice. When aiming, a sniper calculates the trajectory of a bullet depending on a number of factors, such as wind, temperature, height difference, etc. An experienced sniper knows how to camouflage himself, move unnoticed on the ground, set up ambushes, and hide in hidden places to rest. Snipers usually use special sniper rifles equipped with optical sights to hit their targets accurately. In the rifle units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, snipers interact with servicemen of other specialities, which ensures high efficiency of forces and means in solving the task.
