This series is designed to introduce the new NJROTC cadet both to the Navy and to his responsibilities as a citizen, to provide readings in various naval topics for cadets who anticipate applying for Navy college-level scholarships, and to provide an initial source of information on naval topics for first-year midshipmen of the U.S. Naval Academy and NROTC programs. Topics covered include citizenship, leadership and discipline, naval history, government, fundamentals of naval organizations, engineering, weapons, operations and logistics, navigation, seamanship, meteorology and weather, survival training, and much more.
