The military and political aspects of the history of the Northern Black Sea Hellenic states, the evolution of various types of offensive and defensive weapons, the problem of external influences and borrowings, and individual "branches of the army" of the ancient armies of the Northern Black Sea are considered. The author describes the most important military campaigns of the North Pontic Hellenes, the evidence of which has survived to the present day.
