The first part of the Mediterranean trilogy (the next one is Birds, Beasts and Relatives, and the last one is Garden of the Gods) by the famous British animalist writer, zoologist Gerald Malcolm Durrell, is dedicated to the golden days of the author's childhood on the Greek island of Corfu.
