The therapeutic story "The City on the Window" by Tetyana Vynnyk uses the example of the main characters - primary school boys named Bohdan and Andriy - to address the problem of overcoming the consequences of the unstable psyche of children caused by the terrible events of war, and illustrates the possible healing of children's vulnerable psyche through the prism of a projective technique - drawing a city where happiness and peace will reign. Every day, Ukrainian children witness terrible and disturbing events that take place in different parts of Ukraine. It is important to offer these children a book in which each child can see himself or herself and identify with the main characters of Tetyana Vynnyk's story The City on the Window - ordinary children of a simple Ukrainian family. In this way, readers will be able to go through traumatic experiences together with the characters and find a therapeutic effect together with the characters. The protagonist Bohdan was able to solve his problem - having injured his arm, he learnt to draw with his other hand, involving his younger brother Andriyko in the creative process.
