The recommendations for studying the disciplines "Folklore Ensemble" and "Methods of Working with a Folklore Ensemble" and the main topics for study are presented. Plans of lectures and practical classes, tasks and methodological recommendations for independent work of students are presented, topical issues of formation of the repertoire policy of a folklore group, educational and creative activities of student folklore groups, issues of representation of authentic musical folklore in the modern youth urban environment, etc. are revealed. A list of references is provided.
