The content and layout of the material in the handbook allows it to be used both in general education institutions and in schools with advanced mathematics. It is convenient for preparing for entrance exams to universities and institutes, as well as for students of pedagogical specialities studying elementary mathematics.

At the beginning of each topic, the section presents examples and methods of solving problems, additional theoretical material and methodological advice. For each topic, tasks for exercises are selected, and some of them are provided with solutions.

Somewhat broader than the school curriculum, the book covers such topics as solving equations and systems of equations, proving and solving algebraic and transcendental inequalities, inverse trigonometric functions, non-standard trigonometric equations, conditional inequalities, etc.

The publication is addressed to students, applicants and all those who love mathematics and want to improve in it, to be able to solve problems that go beyond the school curriculum on their own.
