Recently dumped, air hostess Maya finds herself working on Christmas Day on a flight that should have been taking her to her wedding in Central Park, New York. Instead, she encounters the most obnoxious man who makes the flight unbearable and his formal complaint afterwards only confirms her decision to swear off men forever.

On a drunken whim, she decides to begin a twelve-month rule of singledom and records her efforts in a blog, titled 'Flying Solo.'With her life a mess, she finds flying is her only comfort and escape from reality.

Until however, she notices a familiar face appearing every month on the same flight to New York.

The same face who formally complained about her only a month earlier.

But a chance encounter in New York city sees their paths intertwined and secrets are revealed, showing Maya that first appearances are not always what they seem. Maya finds that she starts to look forward to seeing his face in seat 28c.

But with her blog gaining popularity with single women everywhere, and with the surprise re-appearance of her ex, Maya finds herself caught between two men, and her twelve-month rule of singledom is proving tricky to stick to....
