&Lament and Legit is the first collection by Iryna Zahladko. However, this is not a new name in contemporary Ukrainian literature. Poems that have previously appeared in literary magazines or blogs, were performed on the stages of festivals, demonstrated in the format of video poetry or media performances, have finally found their place under one cover. Thus, in combination with Anastasia Starko's bizarrely lyrical collages, a book-herbarium appeared, where each poem is a plant, a symbol, and a gesture of water and time. That's why you can find here poetry that is fragrant and pungent, sweet and bitter, poisonous and soporific, light as a breath or heavy as a scream.
