No architectural style was born as an adult. All of them go through certain stages of development, which are described by architectural historian Kateryna Lypa in her book. Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance, Art Nouveau... This book is about how architectural styles emerged and declined, and how they developed on Ukrainian lands-from Kamianets-Podilskyi to Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, from Chernihiv to Lviv, from Kyiv to Bakhchisarai, from Izyum to Zhovkva.
