«The Landlord» — social comedy by Ivan Karpenka-Karogo, written in 1900. In it the playwright shows the phenomenon of the formation of the new rural Ukrainian bourgeoisie in the late 19th century. The author characterised the play as a wicked satire on human love for the pulling together without any other aim.
