The monograph is devoted to a complex and generally poorly studied socio-political phenomenon - the Hryhoriev insurgency, which operated in Ukraine from August 1918 to August 1919. Based on a wide range of sources, the author comprehensively recreates the history of the Hryhoriev Insurgency, revealing its struggle against foreign interventions and various states of the period (Hetman, Uhner, White Guard, Entente and Bolshevik), its political evolution, the changing nature of political orientations and military alliances of the Hryhorievites, the social factors that led to the weakening and liquidation of this insurgency, and its ambiguous and controversial role in the Ukrainian revolution of 1917-1921.
