The French textbook for grade 6 of the New Ukrainian School is based on competence-based, communicative, activity-based and personality-oriented approaches. It takes into account modern methods of teaching foreign languages at school and corresponds to the current model curriculum "Foreign Language 5-9 grades" for general secondary education (authors: V. Redko, O. Shalenko, S. Sotnykova, O. Kovalenko, etc.). The textbook is intended for pupils who learn French from the 1st grade. The materials in the publication are interesting and up-to-date, and their main purpose is to teach a foreign language as a means of communication, to develop students' readiness to communicate in another language, and to instil respect for the culture, history and traditions of another people.
