This school year, you will continue to learn about the basic principles of ethics. We all need to know and understand the principles of morality to be able to behave appropriately in different situations. After all, every person is part of society and has daily contact with others. Everything in the world is interconnected, and an ethics textbook will help you understand this complex system of relationships. You will be able to get an idea of the moral foundations of relationships between people, interaction and cooperation in human life and society, the peculiarities of the world of human relationships and moral relations in society. The textbook consists of four chapters, which are divided into paragraphs. Each chapter begins with a statement of the learning objective: "After reading this chapter, you will be able to...". The questions that follow, in the form of "Give your own opinion", will help you prepare for the new material. Each paragraph is divided into sub-paragraphs, which are separate complete fragments of the material to which the paragraph is devoted. The text should be studied, paying attention to the highlighted words and the sections "Working together", "Interesting facts", "Working with the source", etc. Explanations of the terms and concepts used in the text are given in the Glossary section. The opinions of prominent people in the "Worth Thinking About" section, illustrations, diagrams, and tables are important for learning the material. They are an important part of the educational information offered to you for processing. For some of these elements, we suggest completing tasks. The questions and tasks that follow the paragraphs will help you test your knowledge and develop your skills. Please note that the electronic appendix to the textbook contains flowcharts and descriptions of different forms of working with the textbook material.
