In the past, our planet was inhabited by ancient dinosaurs, which became extinct about 65 million years ago. It is believed that the cause of the great extinction was the collision of the Earth with a giant comet.

This book will tell you about dinosaurs that lived from 200 million to. 65 million years ago. The development of these animals was rapid. They were divided into carnivores and herbivores. Some lived on land, some lived in water, and some were flying lizards. The great diversity and abundance of these ancient reptiles makes them especially interesting.

You will learn what dinosaurs looked like, how big they were, their structure, diet and lifestyle. In this book, you will find interesting information about the life and habits of these amazing animals, bright drawings and funny pictures covering facts about the times when our planet was inhabited by incredible and mysterious creatures.

The Dinosaurs book with augmented reality elements will help you to move to the world of wildlife, the world where dinosaurs ruled millions of years ago. It contains more than 1000 known described species of land vertebrates that existed in the Mesozoic era. Did you know that they appeared about 251 million years ago? And based on the findings of paleontologists, they lived on all continents. The educational book for children will not only tell unknown facts but also help bring such distant and unknown animals to life. Using the FastAR kids app (which allows you to get three-dimensional images), you just need to point your phone or tablet at the pages in the book - and miracle! The illustrations in the books come to life - they move and speak. The pictures are not just three-dimensional, but very realistic and colourful. And it is here that the longed-for transfer to such a mysterious world begins. You will learn that "dinosaur" is a narrow concept, because scientists say that only non-avian dinosaurs are called so. Translated from Greek, it means "terrible, horrible", "lizard". They are similar to crocodiles and extinct pterosaurs. The encyclopaedia provides detailed descriptions and characteristics of the animals, their time period and habitat. For example, some species weighed over 100 tonnes and were up to 30 metres long. You will also learn that the remains found by archaeologists indicate that some species had two limbs, and some had four. You will hear the stories of discovery and research. Today, more than one film scriptwriter and director addresses this topic. A separate topic in the educational literature is the disappearance of dinosaurs. What was the main reason for their extinction? You can not only find out the answer to this question, but also share it with your friends. The app allows you to take a photo and send it to your friends. The spectacular viewing experience is enhanced by the sound, which clearly transports you to a desert island in the Pacific Ocean (where the main events of the sci-fi film Jurassic Park took place).

So, feel the life of an ancient era to the fullest, plunge into the distant jungle and desert islands, and taste the life of such majestic and mysterious, scary and fearless dinosaurs. You and your child will get unforgettable impressions and emotions after watching a book about dinosaurs from the Living Books series with sound.
