The book raises questions about what true friendship and self-sacrifice are, about mutual understanding and trust between children and parents, and, of course, about the value of human life.

What should you do if you witness a murder during Halloween? Moreover, it turns out that you knew the victim. What if you recognise one of the killers and he enters your home? And, to top it all off, did you lose evidence of your presence at the scene?

The answers to all these ambiguous questions are to be solved by the inseparable four high school students. The trouble is that they can't consult anyone. Will Evil win?
