To turn to God, we usually open a prayer book or mentally recite the words of a prayer we have learnt by heart. The author of these texts shares a less common, but nevertheless lively way of speaking to God, which she finds in reading the Scriptures. It is an active dialogue that includes emotions, reflections, requests, doubts, and, of course, gratitude and the voice of the One to whom each of us can ask a question: "Do I understand correctly, God?"
