The insufficient number of choral arrangements of church melodies and the limited musical literature with their recordings prompted Volodymyr Semchyshyn, the regent of the choir of St Peter's Church in Ternopil, to harmonise folk church melodies that would be available for quick learning and singing in churches by church choirs of different professional levels.
