The book is devoted to the historical development and peculiarities of legal regulation of bank guarantees in Ukraine and other countries belonging to different legal systems. Based on a comparative legal analysis of the provisions of legislation and judicial practice of a number of countries, the authors propose ways to improve the current legislation of Ukraine in the field of bank guarantees in order to bring it in line with European standards in this area.
For the first time on a monographic level, along with other international legal acts relating to the regulation of bank guarantees, the authors have studied the provisions of the Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees as amended in 2010 and the existing practice of their application.
