In 2014, the Kremlin has been carrying out a criminal seizure of Ukrainian territories. Crimea was occupied by regular troops, and part of Donbas fell under the control of militants and mercenaries, whom Russia sent and supported with weapons, equipment and manpower. In response to these actions, Ukraine's main ally, the United States, launches an intelligence unit in Kyiv to counter the "No. 1 terrorist state" in the region. The novel is centred on the story of a Ukrainian superagent who successfully counteracts the aggressor. He manages to get on the trail of the killers responsible for the death of the Heavenly Hundred.
